In the spirit of being thankful this week, I have to tell how thankful I am for our best friends. This past weekend, we were so lucky to be able to host them here. Unfortunately, they live in another country right now and have been thousands of miles away from us for too many years now, so it’s a rarity that we actually get to spend time with them. Good friends are just good for the soul. The older I get, the more I realize how amazing a really great friendship is. No judgement, absolute support, and complete comfort in their company. Don’t ever take them for granted.
A weekend full of laughter, food, wine, more wine and catching up. Man, it was good to laugh uncontrollably. I don’t do that enough. Top that with finishing off the nursery with them (that’s a later post) and, man! What a weekend! It felt like the start to a wonderful Holiday season. Now it’s time to get ready for Thanksgiving and what will be the fastest three months of my life. Here’s to great friends. Cheers!
